Japanese engineers survived a suicide attack in Pakistan

A police officer and two passers-by were killed following a suicide attack on the car of a group of Japanese engineers in Pakistan.

According to Pakistani authorities, a suicide bomber blew up the car carrying five Japanese nationals, all of whom survived. The police said that these nationals were the engineers of the export goods processing area project in Karachi port.

Also, according to the police statement, the attackers were two people, one of whom was chasing the car of Japanese nationals, as soon as the speed slowed down. The car detonated the explosives attached to its body but failed to kill its targets.

Raja Umar Khattab, an official of Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Unit, said that his accomplice then shot at the car but returned fire. The police passed away.
