Hamas’s reaction to the explosions at the Hashd al-Shaabi base

Hamas strongly criticized the explosions reported at the Hashd al-Shaabi base in Iraq and called it a violation of Iraqi sovereignty.

This group held the Biden government responsible and claimed that its support for actions against the Palestinians has led to the escalation of tensions.

Iraqi media reported the explosion at the “Kalso” military base in the north of Babil province (south of Baghdad).

Kalso base is a joint base of Iraqi army, federal police and Hashd al-Shaabi forces.

Hashd al-Shaabi organization announced that the American bombing was the cause of the explosion in this base. An American official, however, claimed in an interview with PBS that the American army did not have any activity in the area where the explosion occurred.

The Central Command Headquarters of the US Army (CENTCOM) also rejected the reports about the air attack of this country on a military base in Babil province of Iraq.
