We reevaluate our mediation

report Mehr News quoted by Al Jazeera, “Majed Al Ansari”, the spokesman of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a speech emphasizing Qatar’s commitment to mediation in the cease-fire talks between the Palestinian resistance and the Zionist regime, reassessed the mediation issue. He spoke on behalf of this country.
He added: The mediators feel frustrated by not reaching a ceasefire agreement in Ramadan. We have expressed our displeasure with the numerous attacks against the mediation efforts, especially the efforts made by Qatar.
Al-Ansari said: Netanyahu’s cabinet ministers have made negative statements regarding the role of Qatar. We will never accept that Qatar is used for political positions or electoral purposes by any of the parties.
He continued: Now the negotiating groups regarding the Gaza crisis are not present in Qatar. The first challenge to mediation is that the parties must be serious enough to achieve the result. The current period requires more unity among all Palestinian parties.
Al-Ansari said: No part of the international community can accept the attack on Rafah, which is struggling with problems. We should all try to stop the possible Israeli attack on Rafah and this war.
He added: We welcome the decision of some European countries to recognize the state of Palestine. Also, we welcome the Colonna report and the decision of several countries to finance UNRWA before presenting this report. We hope that Colonna’s report will lead to the resumption of funding for UNRWA and its increase.
