A few days ago, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia still considers Armenia to be its ally, and Yerevan certainly considers the importance of relations with Moscow for its security and development.

Lavrov said: We are united with Armenia. We consider this country as our ally. I think there are still people in Yerevan who understand the importance of Russia for the security and economic development of Armenia, and this is not only from a legal point of view.”

Especially the United States and the European Union are trying to speed up the separation of Armenia from Russia.

Before that, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, also paid attention to this fact. A few days ago, Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, in response to the words of Nikol Pashinyan, regarding the withdrawal of Russian border guards from the Tavush region on the border of Armenia with the Republic of Azerbaijan. announced that Moscow has not received any request from Yerevan regarding the withdrawal of Russian border guard forces from this country and also the closure of military base 102.
