South Africa requests the Hague Court to issue an urgent ruling on Rafah

South Africa asked the International Court of Justice to issue an urgent order to protect the Palestinians after the Israeli attack on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al Jazeera, South Africa’s presidency issued a statement and announced: Yesterday we asked the International Court of Justice to issue an urgent order to protect the to export Palestinians.

The South African President’s statement reads: We asked the International Court of Justice to point out the necessity of stopping the Israeli attack on Rafah and facilitating the entry of UN officials into this city.

South Africa also asked the international community and allies of the Zionist regime not to turn a blind eye to the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The South African government previously announced that the emergency measures issued by the International Court of Justice against the Zionist regime do not cover the change in the current situation in Gaza.

South Africa warned of the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Rafah and announced: Israel’s attack on Rafah and the severe danger posed to humanitarian aid and basic services, the life of the medical system and survival Palestinians in Gaza is not the only aggravation of the current situation in this region.

The South African statement to The Hague said that the attack also creates new conditions that cause irreparable damage to the rights of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
