The informed sources of this newspaper did not mention which countries these fighters are going to be given to Ukraine, but they stated that it is most likely that these fighters will be delivered in June or It will be delivered to Ukraine in July.
The Netherlands and Denmark were among the first countries that agreed to deliver the F-16 fighter to Ukraine.
The White House later confirmed that Ukraine would receive the US-made fighter jets from third countries for Ukrainian pilots to complete flight training. Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren also announced that The Hague plans to deliver the first batch of F-16s to Ukraine in 2024, although the ministry announced in early January that the delivery would be delayed by six months.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russia will start hunting down the Ukrainian F-16s as soon as they arrive. He emphasized that the Russian air defense systems only need “20 working days” to destroy the first batch of these jets supplied to the Kiev regime.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also talked to Russian military pilots in March and emphasized that the F-16 fighter will not change anything for the Ukrainian army.
