, the President of Kazakhstan, “Gassim Jomart Toqayev”, announced in a meeting with the presidents of the parliaments of the member countries of the Security Treaty Organization that this country has officially removed the Taliban from the list of banned groups.
In explaining this action, the President of Kazakhstan said: Considering the importance of developing commercial and economic cooperation with Afghanistan and the long-term rule of the Taliban, Kazakhstan removed it from the terrorist list.
He also emphasized: One of the strategic tasks at the current stage is Afghanistan’s active participation in regional ties.
Kazakhstan had previously established business relations with the Taliban government and is now the first country in Central Asia to remove the Taliban from the list of banned organizations.
