Hamas: We did not receive a new plan for a ceasefire
A member of the political bureau of the Hamas movement: We have not received any new plan for a cease-fire in Gaza, and the proposal presented by the mediators last May 6, which Hamas and other resistance groups accepted, is our approved position. |
According to the international group Tasnim news agency, citing the Palestine Information Center, Hossam Badran with Byan said that the speech of US President Joe Biden regarding the negotiations to end the war in Gaza shows that the Zionist regime and its main supporters were confused, because they were determined to defeat the Palestinian nation and the resistance, but this did not happen.
He clarified that Biden’s statement is a kind of acknowledgment that the Zionist enemy has not succeeded in realizing any of his political and military goals that he announced during the past months.
Badran said that America has enough tools and power to put pressure on Netanyahu and his extremist government to stop the war because they are the ones who have prevented any agreement from being reached. He emphasized that Netanyahu is the only party that prevents the achievement agreed and seeks to continue the war for personal and partisan reasons and violates the regional and international position that has almost reached a consensus to stop the war.
Badran added that Netanyahu’s statements contained a response to Biden’s speech. It means that he does not intend to take a step towards any practical agreement.
The member of the Hamas political office emphasized that the basic guarantor of the implementation of any agreement is our strength in the field as a nation and resistance.

He pointed out that we will never allow the Zionist enemy to have any role in managing the internal situation, whether in relation to the situation inside Gaza or interacting with the crossings, especially the Rafah crossing.
Badran said the occupying regime should withdraw from the Rafah crossing, and the consensus of the Palestinians is on this, and the administration of this crossing should return to the previous state, but the issue of dealing with the situation in Palestine is an internal issue that we Palestinians manage without accepting any regional and international pressure.
The White House once again dropped the ball in Hamas’ court
