The American Embassy in Beirut issued a security alert

We recommend that American citizens in Lebanon refrain from traveling to the country’s border with Israel (Occupied Palestinian Territories), Syria, refugee settlements, and attending demonstrations or large gatherings.
A Lebanese security official had previously disclosed new details of the attack on the American embassy to the Associated Press.
This Lebanese official said: Four people participated in the attack on the American embassy, one of whom was the driver who brought the shooters to the scene, and the other three shot. .
He added: One of the attackers was killed, the second escaped, and the third was wounded and arrested.
