Iran condemned the anti-Iranian resolution of the “Council of Governors”.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while condemning the anti-Iranian resolution in the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, considered this action to be political and unconstructive and a continuation of the previous failed policies of some Western countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemned the action of a number of countries in passing a resolution against Iran at the meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency. is: The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the presentation and approval of this resolution to be a political and non-constructive action and a continuation of the previous failed policies of some western countries and an attempt to politically abuse international mechanisms against independent countries.

In this statement, Khajeh Ministry stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to continue technical cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency within the framework of its international rights and obligations based on the Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Safeguards Agreement. 

Iran also wrote: Issuing this resolution has no effect on the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to continue the peaceful exploitation of nuclear energy and to generalize its nuclear development plans in accordance with the laws of the country. It does not fall under relevant international treaties.

Last day, at the meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, three European countries reviewed the draft anti-Iranian resolution and the members approved this proposed resolution.
