Turkish and Russian Foreign Ministers’ consultation about developments in Gaza and the South Caucasus

The foreign ministers of Turkey and Russia met on the sidelines of the BRICS meeting in Nizhny Novgorod and discussed the latest situation in Gaza and the South Caucasus.

According to Mehr News Agency quoted by Anatolia News Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who attended the joint meeting of foreign ministers BRICS member countries and BRICS-friendly countries have traveled to Russia and met with their Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, on Tuesday.

According to this news agency, the foreign ministers of Turkey and Russia discussed bilateral and regional relations in this meeting.

In this meeting, Fidan and Lavrov also evaluated the latest situation in Gaza, the situation in West Asia, South Caucasus and developments in Ukraine.

In this meeting, the Russian Foreign Minister informed Fidan of his country’s priorities in BRICS.

The foreign ministers of Turkey and Russia also discussed and consulted on bilateral issues, expansion of commercial and economic cooperation.
