Offering Eid al-Adha prayer with the presence of Bashar Assad in Damascus
report Mehr News Agency According to the official Syrian news agency (SANA), Syrian President Bashar Assad offered the Eid al-Adha prayer this morning in the courtyard of al-Rawaza Mosque in Damascus.
Mohammed Abdul Sattar al-Sayed, Minister of Awqaf of Syria, along with other officials of the country’s government, together with Bashar Assad, performed the Eid al-Adha prayer in this mosque under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammad Sharif al-Sawaf.
Sheikh al-Sawaf emphasized in the sermon of the Eid al-Adha prayer that this Eid is a symbol of the meanings of sacrifice, faith and patience, which are among the signs of a believer.
He added: This Eid represents the occurrence of an important event in the history of the Islamic Ummah, which is the sacrifice of Hazrat Ismail. We ask the Almighty God to help the Islamic Ummah, especially our brothers in occupied Gaza and Palestine.
