Aliyev’s consultation with the US Foreign Ministry representative about regional peace

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev discussed bilateral relations and the peace process between Baku and Yerevan with James O’Brien, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. This news has been published on the website of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The statement said: “James O’Brien emphasized the commitment of the United States to advance the regional peace agenda and Washington’s willingness to support this process.”

According to Aliyev’s press service, the representative of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the US in various fields, including the further development of relations at the strategic level. This message states: “In this context, issues related to regional cooperation were discussed.”

In this meeting, cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States in the energy sector was also discussed. O’Brien said that his country will continue to support Azerbaijan for the successful holding of the United Nations Climate Conference COP29, which will be held in Baku in November.
