Orban: European bureaucracy has not had any results to solve the war between Russia and Ukraine

The Prime Minister of Hungary admitted that Europe's empty bureaucracy has not had any results to solve the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán responded to EU criticism of his visit to Moscow and meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying that Brussels’s absurd bureaucracy has achieved nothing to resolve the Russian war. And Ukraine has not.

Orban wrote on X social network on Friday night: Brussels’ absurd bureaucracy has had no results in trying to find a peaceful solution to the war between Russia and Ukraine. If we want to end this war, we need a political approach instead of a bureaucratic approach.

Orban wrote in another message about the purpose of his trip to Russia: My talks with President Putin are over. My goal was to open channels of direct communication and start dialogue on the shortest path to peace. My mission is over and it will continue from Monday in the presidency of the European Union.

This trip, which took place only a few days after Budapest took over the rotating presidency of the European Union, was criticized by 27 EU members. The members of this union say: This action of Hungary can weaken the position of Brussels regarding the more than two-year conflict with Russia.

In a statement, EU foreign policy official Joseph Burrell said: Orban’s visit to Moscow is exclusively within the framework of bilateral relations between Hungary and Russia. Prime Minister Orban has not received any order from the Council of the European Union to visit Moscow.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Sziarto emphasized on Friday night that Hungary is an independent country and will not respond to the European Union’s criticism of Orban’s visit to Russia.
