Le Pen’s opposition to sending soldiers and long-range missiles to Ukraine

The head of the far-right party "National Assembly" of France says that he is against sending troops and sending long-range missiles to the territory of Ukraine.

Marine Le Pen, head of France’s “National Assembly” party, who won the most votes in the first round of parliamentary elections, said in an interview with CNN that she is against continuing to provide long-range missiles and sending French troops to Ukraine. /p>
According to the Kyiv Independent, Le Pen stated: “We have two red lines, the sending of French troops to the territory of Ukraine and the delivery of long-range weapons with which Kiev can attack the territory of Russia.”

French President Emmanuel Macron has long supported the provision of long-range missiles to Ukraine. So far, France has provided its long-range “Scalp” missiles to Ukraine, which is equivalent to the British “Storm Shadow” missiles. Macron also announced in May that he does not rule out the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine. After months of controversy in this regard, the French president announced on June 7 that France is creating a coalition of countries to send military trainers to Ukraine.

Tomorrow (Sunday) the second round of parliamentary elections will be held in France, and Le Pen’s far-right party has a high chance of winning these elections. However, some polls show that the actions of the centrist and left parties in the last few days can be effective in preventing Le Pen’s victory. Macron’s “Renaissance” party recently cooperated with French left-wing parties and altogether removed more than 200 candidates from the second round of elections in order to avoid the division of votes in favor of the extreme right.
