Russia thwarted Ukraine’s attempt to hijack Moscow’s strategic bomber
Russian news agencies reported on Monday, quoting the media office of the Federal Security Service of Russia, that this agency thwarted Ukraine’s attempt to organize the hijacking of a Russian strategic bomber named TU-22M3 to its territory.
Tass, citing the media office of the Federal Security Service, wrote that during this operation, Russia received information that helped its forces to attack the Ozren military airport (this airport is located in the city of Zhytomyr, Ukraine).
The Federal Security Service of Russia added that the country’s intelligence agency has discovered the direct involvement of the intelligence agencies of NATO countries in the planning of operations.
The pilot of this bomber stated that Kiev spies contacted him via telegram and used methods of persuasion and intimidation against him and asked him to provide technical information about Russian strategic bombers of this type and program. Offer them a flight. The Russian pilot refused to sell his bomber to the enemy and revealed that he quickly informed his commander about these conversations.
It is worth noting that the Tu-22 is able to fly at a speed of 2,300 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 13,000 meters and a distance of 6,000 kilometers and return without refueling.
