The level of killing in the Gaza Strip is unprecedented / UNRWA is on the verge of financial collapse
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al Jazeera, the United Nations meeting that was held in New York to support the Relief and Employment Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) ended its activities with a minute of silence to pay tribute to the UNRWA staff who died in Gaza war has lost their lives.
Dennis Francis, President of the United Nations General Assembly, said in this meeting: UNRWA has witnessed many crises, but the level of killing in Gaza is unparalleled.
He added: UNRWA is on the verge of financial collapse. The General Assembly must ensure that UNRWA receives the necessary financial support to continue its work.
Francis stated: comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in the Middle East and Palestine must be achieved through a two-state solution.
At the end of his speech, the President of the United Nations General Assembly invited everyone present to help the Palestinian refugees and save their lives.
