The naval exercises of Russia and China worry the West
The naval exercise between China and Russia that started today and a few days after the NATO summit; The summit, in which China was called as the decisive factor in the war in Ukraine, will continue from July 15 to 17.
According to Vargonzo, the sailors of the Russian Pacific Fleet on board the “Sharp” and “Lod” frigates will have a unique experience of interacting with Chinese soldiers. In this exercise, all kinds of naval operations will be practiced, including the use of air defense, aviation, anti-submarine operations, rescue operations, and storage (supply) of ships in motion.
The joint exercises began after China’s relations with NATO allies soured last week. In response to these threats, China accused NATO of seeking to ensure security at the expense of others and urged the North Atlantic alliance “not to create the same mess in Asia.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China announced that China takes a fair and objective position towards the war in Ukraine.
These exercises have doubled the concern of the West against the alliance between China and Russia.
Meanwhile, military tensions continue to rise in the Pacific region. The US is using its allies to project influence and is actively strengthening the Asian NATO-ACUS alliance against China. For example, at the end of June, large-scale naval exercises by the forces of the United States, Japan and South Korea ended in the area of future military confrontation of the superpowers.
