Ayatollah Sistani’s opinion about the importance of cleanliness in the Arbaeen ceremony
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted from Baghdad Al-Yum, Ayatollah Sistani, the supreme authority of Shiites in Iraq He emphasized the importance of cleanliness during the Arbaeen ceremony.
Ayatollah Sistani responded to the inquiry of some followers about the observance of cleanliness during the Arbaeen ceremony, that the text of the questions and his answer is as follows;
As the Arbaeen ceremony is approaching, we would like to ask you some questions about the cleanliness of the Arbaeen walking path, especially considering that the number of pilgrims has reached millions and it is not possible to control the situation with individual efforts.
1. Is it recommended to collect money to buy trash cans and garbage bags for the purpose of cleaning Hosseini processions and pilgrims’ walking path? Is it one of the examples of charity in the way of Hossein rituals?
It is recommended to be in this way, and spending money in this way is also a service to the pilgrims of Aba Abdullah and is considered as an example of charity.
. If some young people want to spend their time cleaning and cleaning this path, is it recommended for them to do so?
Removing the obstacle And pollution from the path of Muslims is recommended in Sharia, and doing this on the path of the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) will be more rewarding.
3. What is the ruling on throwing leftover food on the side of the road?
This is not appropriate and if it causes annoyance to passers-by or is an example of extravagance, it is not permissible in Sharia.
4. If you have any advice for the owners of processions and pilgrims regarding cleanliness and order and service to pilgrims ? They should cooperate to establish the order of the Arbaeen pilgrimage so that the comfort and health of the pilgrims can be provided. We ask the Almighty God to make everyone successful for the pilgrimage and observe its rituals and accept their actions.
