Türkiye’s budget deficit reached 3.8 billion dollars

Official Turkish government statistics showed that the country's budget in August had a deficit of nearly 130 billion liras, equivalent to about 3.8 billion dollars, which has increased compared to the previous month.

reported by Mehr News Agency, according to the data of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Turkey’s budget deficit compared to the gap of 96.8 billion liri in August, to 129.6 billion liras equal to 3.8 billion dollars has been reached. Turkey’s budget recorded a surplus of 51.3 billion liras in August last year.

The income of the Turkish government last month was equal to 690.7 billion liras. The data shows that the total expenses of the government were equal to 820.3 billion liras.

The initial deficit, without paying interest, is a total of 32.5 billion liras. From January to August, Türkiye’s budget gap reached 973.6 billion liras. Also, the total revenues of the Turkish government reached 5.25 thousand billion liras, while the total expenses were equal to 6.23 thousand billion liras.

Based on new data from the Turkish government, interest payments from January to August reached 764 billion liras.
