The suspect of this attack is a 37-year-old man and is currently in police custody. According to the police, 18 victims of this incident were immediately taken to the hospital, and three of them died due to the severity of their injuries. The condition of 15 victims is no longer serious.
According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect has lost control under the influence of economic pressures. In the images released by CGTV, a person with two knives in his hand enters the supermarket and the customers start screaming and running away. This attack happened just before the start of the one-week Chinese National Day holiday.
