Rice imports from India decreased by 40%

Trade exchanges between Iran and India in the 8 months of January to August 2024 with a growth of 5% compared to the same period last year and this is despite the fact that the total trade exchange between the two countries in the 8 months of 2023 was announced to be 1 billion and 237 million dollars.
Rice, oilseed meal, fruit and tea have been the most important goods exported by India to Iran in the 8 months of this year.
In this period, India exported 552 million dollars of rice to Iran, which is a 40% decrease compared to the export of 913 million dollars in the same period last year.
