NATO member: The West is tired of supporting Ukraine and wishes for an end to the war

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland admitted that Western countries are tired of supporting Ukraine, and this fatigue is obvious and increasing.

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by the Financial Times, Elina Waltonen, the foreign minister of Finland, which is considered a new member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), admitted that the Western countries are tired of supporting Ukraine, and said that everyone hopes that the war will end before the war. be resolved somehow.

This media, referring to Waltonen’s acknowledgment of Western fatigue regarding Ukraine, continued to quote him: This (exhaustion and fatigue) is real and increasing. The ongoing war in the Middle East has diverted attention and resources from Ukraine.

He emphasized: There is still support for Ukraine, but how much (support) is enough? Many countries, especially considering the danger of war in the Middle East, tend to think that “if we can find a solution to this war (Ukraine), it would be wonderful.”

Western countries have always provided financial and military support to Ukraine since the beginning of the Ukrainian war in February 2022. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has insisted that the aid will not change the outcome of the war and will only prolong it. Also, according to Putin, Moscow will continue the war until the full realization of its goals, including the de-Nazification of Ukraine and the liberation of Donbass from the oppression of the Kiev regime.

Finland, after many struggles, finally became a member of NATO in April of last year.
