The parliamentary elections of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq have started
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, according to Shafaq News Iraq website, voting for the new parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has started at 7:00 AM this Sunday and will continue until 6:00 PM today.
According to this report, more than two million and six hundred thousand people are eligible to vote in this period of parliamentary elections of the Kurdistan Region, which is its sixth period.
Voters are casting their votes in the four provinces of the Kurdistan region, namely Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Dohuk and Halabja, from the early hours of this morning.
Iraqi sources announced that around 1,200 polling stations have started working this morning and voters can go to these stations to cast their votes. .
The last parliamentary election period of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq dates back to 2018. According to the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Parliament Election Law, any faction that can win the majority of seats in the parliament will be responsible for appointing the new president of this region and will form the government.
