In the air force of the Taliban regime, Russian-made helicopters are mostly used, but the number of these helicopters is limited.
After the fall of the previous government of Afghanistan, American forces destroyed most of the helicopters and military planes and made them non-operational. Repairing and maintaining these military aircraft is very difficult and expensive.
During the war against the former government of Afghanistan and its western allies, the Taliban government suffered the heaviest blows from air attacks, and for this reason, they plan to increase the defensive and offensive capacity of their air force.
