According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported about the dire humanitarian situation in the north of the Gaza Strip: After several hours of waiting in the queues of the only bakery in the city of Khan Yunis in the south of Gaza, the Palestinian citizens did not leave empty-handed. Their families return.
According to this report, due to the lack of flour in this bakery, Muhammad, the father of a Palestinian family, could not prepare bread for his family for three consecutive days; A family consisting of six children. He emphasized that since 2 weeks ago, they have not tasted the real taste of bread without it smelling bad.
This Palestinian family, like other families, has to collect the rotten flour in the bags and turn it into bread. The spread of famine has made life difficult for more than 2 million Palestinians in the north and south of the Gaza Strip since the beginning of this October, because the Zionist occupiers have closed the Karam Abu Salem crossing, the only commercial crossing of the Gaza Strip, and do not allow humanitarian aid to enter.
Currently, the city of Khan Yunis, which has a population of 1,200,000, has only one bakery. In addition, 400,000 Palestinians in Gaza City and the north of the Gaza Strip are struggling with widespread famine in these areas.
