After the heavy rain and strong winds caused by Hurricane Dana that hit Spain on Monday, popular holiday destinations for the British are Malaga and Valencia in the south and east of Spain. And the Balearic Islands suffered the most damage.

Carlos Mazon, the head of the Valencia region, says that rescue and relief operations are underway and, according to him, at this point, it is impossible to announce the exact number of victims.

The Spanish Meteorological Organization (Aemet) has issued special warnings and recommendations for the mentioned areas, and meteorological experts have warned about the continuation of the current weather conditions until the end of the week.
