Biden’s condition for Ukraine’s attack on the North Korean expeditionary forces in Russia
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Rashatoudi, US President Joe Biden, in response to the claim of sending troops from North Korea to Russia for the purpose of war against Ukraine, said that if North Korean soldiers enter Ukraine, the forces of Kiev should They attack.
Pentagon claimed this week that about 10,000 troops were sent from North Korea to Russia, some of them for possible operations against Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region of Russia, where parts of it are under control. Ukrainian forces have been transferred to this area.
In response to the question of whether Ukraine should counterattack against North Korean forces, Biden said: “If they enter Ukrainian territory, yes.”
Moscow and Pyongyang signed a bilateral strategic partnership agreement earlier this month, according to which the parties are obliged to provide military assistance to each other in the event of an attack by a third country. Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to confirm or deny the reports about the presence of North Korean troops in Russia, but emphasized that “what the two countries do to meet their requirements and obligations under the new agreement is only between North Korea and Russia.”
The Biden administration has pledged to help Kiev “as long as it is necessary for their victory.” Moscow has called this war a US-led proxy war against Russia, in which the Ukrainians play the role of “balloon fodder”.
