Tel Aviv reached out to Moscow/Pskov: Moscow is ready to play a role
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted Rashatoudi, Yediot Aharonot and other Zionist media, quoting officials involved in the negotiations, who wrote that Tel Aviv has asked Moscow to play a role as a mediator in the ceasefire negotiations with Lebanon’s Hezbollah. It seems that due to Hezbollah’s successful operations in direct and indirect border conflicts with the Zionist army, Tel Aviv has somehow accepted defeat and is trying to get itself out of danger.
Earlier, Uninews news site wrote that Israel retreated to avoid rocket attacks and explosive drones of resistance forces, which caused many casualties to Israeli forces.
Rashatodi wrote that one of the sources told Yediot Aharonot that “the Russians will play a special role in implementing the agreement and preventing the escalation of tension.”
Orna Mizrahi, the former deputy security adviser of the Zionist regime, told “Newsweek” in response to these reports that although “Israel prefers the Americans”, he has come to the conclusion that “good relations “Russia with Iran” can help stabilize any future agreement with Lebanon.
He said: Another point is that they (Russia) are one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, and if we reach a point where a new resolution on the ceasefire is available in the Security Council, We want the Russians to approve it.
The Zionist media recently claimed that the ceasefire agreement negotiations in Lebanon have reached “advanced stages”. Amos Hochstein, the envoy of US President Joe Biden, who plays the so-called role of mediator between Israel and Lebanon, apparently reached initial agreements during his recent trip to Beirut.
Zionist authorities have told Yediot Aharonot that this agreement, if signed, will begin with a 60-day ceasefire, during which preparations will be made for a new mechanism for monitoring the border areas. However, yesterday, the Zionist regime once again started a new wave of brutal attacks against the people of Lebanon and carried out extensive bombing of the country’s infrastructure, and the southern suburbs of Beirut were repeatedly targeted by the fighters of the Zionist regime.
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, responded to a question about the Zionist media report, without confirming or denying Russia’s intervention in the ceasefire process, saying that Moscow “maintains contact with all parties to the war.” And of course, if our help is needed, Russia is ready to play its role.”
