Kremlin: Trump exaggerated about stopping the war in Ukraine
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Tass, the Kremlin spokesman rejected the claims of US President-elect Donald Trump about the war in Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Donald Trump apparently promised to end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours during his election campaign, which was an exaggeration.
The Kremlin spokesman also noted that it is too early to make any predictions before the Republicans take office in January 2025.
The American media reports today, citing sources close to Donald Trump, the new president of this country, indicate that that his advisers plan to stop the war in Ukraine and create a weapon-free zone.
These sources added that the process of joining the NATO treaty of Kyiv is supposed to be stopped for 20 years. They emphasized that one of the proposed options would be Kyiv’s commitment not to join NATO for 20 years, and in return, the continuation of US arms aid to Ukraine.
