Belarus officially became a partner of “BRICS”.
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr news agency, citing Rianost news agency, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus announced on Monday that this country officially, as a partner member, to BRICS is continuous.

The statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus in this regard states that the letter of Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, addressed to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxim Ryzhenkov. It has been handed over to Boris Gryzlov, Moscow’s ambassador in Minsk.
In this statement, pointing out that Minsk’s letter of readiness to join BRICS as a partner country dates back to November 5, it is stated that this document was issued during a personal meeting with the senior diplomat of Belarus. It has been delivered to Gryzlov (Ambassador of Moscow in Minsk).
The statement issued by BRICS states: From this moment, this country is officially considered one of BRICS partners.
