According to the foreign policy group Tasnim news agency, Ali Gholampour, the ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations offices in Nairobi, met and talked with Zainab Hawa Bangura, the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations and the Director General of the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON).
In this meeting, while welcoming Ali Gholampour at the beginning of his official mission, Zainab Hawa Bangura emphasized the importance of the activities of the United Nations Office in Nairobi to advance humanitarian goals, peace-building operations, regional affairs and goals. He emphasized development with the cooperation and coordination of the governments.
Gholampour, the ambassador and permanent representative of our country in Kenya, after presenting his credentials, while conveying the warm and sincere greetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country Zainab Hawa Bangura and inviting her to travel to Iran, expressed hope that in the coming period we will see the development and expansion of international cooperation and bilateral cooperation between Iran and the United Nations office in Nairobi.
