America, Japan and South Korea agree on the establishment of a “Tripartite Secretariat”
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Anatoly, US President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and South Korean President Yoon Seok-yul on the sidelines of the “Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation” summit in Lima, the capital Peru, while condemning the decision of North Korea and Russia on what was called the “dangerous expansion” of the war in Ukraine, agreed to form a “secretariat” to promote trilateral cooperation.
After this summit, the leaders of these three countries issued a joint statement and emphasized their commitment to continue trilateral cooperation; Cooperation, which they claim is still vital “to deal with security threats in the region and to establish stability in the Indo-Pacific region”.
Biden pointed out that the United States, South Korea and Japan have now reached a “moment of significant political change”, and said he hoped the trilateral cooperation would continue after the official arrival of President Donald Trump. America’s elected to the White House, remain standing.
