UNIFIL welcomes the ceasefire in Lebanon

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted Al Jazeera, the United Nations peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon known as UNIFIL welcomed the establishment of a ceasefire between Beirut and Tel Aviv.

UNIFEL announced: We welcome the announcement of the cessation of hostilities and the emphasis on adherence to UN Resolution 1701 as a path towards peace.

This statement continues: Our soldiers are present in their positions and are ready to support Lebanon and “Israel” in the implementation of Resolution 1701.

UNIFEL stated: We will continue to carry out the assigned missions. We have begun to modify our operations to be compatible with the new situation.
