Amir Abdollahian: The Security Council has not taken any effective measures to stop the Zionist attacks
Referring to the responsibility of the Security Council in maintaining international peace and security, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said at the Tehran International Conference on Palestine: "Unfortunately, this Council has not taken any effective measures to stop the Zionist attacks, and the main obstacle in this regard is the United States and the allies of the White House." |
According to the report of Fars news agency’s foreign policy reporter, Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, made a speech this evening (Saturday), January 2, at the Tehran International Conference on Palestine, which was held at the Saad Abad complex. : The issue of Palestine has always been the concern of the Islamic Republic of Iran and it is in the lofty thoughts of Imam Rahal and in the lofty and strategic view of the Supreme Leader.
Regarding the issue of Palestine, especially the developments of recent weeks, which are accompanied by the killing and genocide of more than 20,000 civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, 75% of whom are children and women, the widespread destruction of vital infrastructures, and the widespread displacement of residents of the Gaza Strip. Let’s exchange views and our ultimate goal is to stop the cruel attacks of the fake, apartheid and occupying Israeli regime against the Palestinian people, confront war crimes and violations of international humanitarian law, and also find ways to support the right of Palestinians to self-determination and the realization of their rights.
The foreign minister stated: This conference will be held in a situation where the UN Security Council passed a resolution on the necessity of sending humanitarian aid to all of Gaza yesterday. But this council, as responsible for maintaining international peace and security, has unfortunately not taken any effective measures to stop the attacks and killings in the occupied territories. The main obstacle in this regard has been the US government and some allies of the White House, who have practically provided unconditional support to the occupier and the genocide. It requires all of us and all international actors, especially independent and free governments, to make no effort to support Palestine. Political, parliamentary, think tank and media delegations from 69 countries are present at today’s international meeting in Tehran.
The foreign minister said that in this conference government officials, officials and non-governmental guests from Iraq, Niger, Syria, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bolivia, Oman, Mauritania, Turkey, Russia, Cuba, China, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tunisia, Malaysia, South Africa, Mozambique, Thailand, Sri Lanka , Spain, Mali, Australia, France, Kuwait, Sweden, Jordan, Serbia, Georgia, Ivory Coast, Congo Braziville, Senegal, America, England, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Greece and Venezuela.
In the end, he saluted the high spirits of the martyrs of Gaza and the West Bank of Palestine.
