According to Mehr News Agency, Reuters news agency reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 on the Richter scale shook the city of Shigatse in Tibet on Tuesday.

According to the Chinese state television network (CCTV), this earthquake occurred at 9:05 am local time (0:05 GMT) and its depth was 10 kilometers.
