Export of 36 billion dollars of Turkish agricultural products
According to Mehr News Agency, According to the data collected by Anadolu Agency from the Turkish Exporters Forum, the exports of this sector increased by 3.3% annually and reached 36.2 billion dollars in 2024.
Accordingly, demand for Turkish agricultural products remains strong throughout the year and the country is seen as a “reliable” supplier at a time when climate change and global food security are in high flux.
The share of the agricultural sector in the total export of Türkiye was 16%. The sector was closely followed by the automotive industry, which led total foreign sales as the export champion with $37.2 billion last year. Meanwhile, two of the 10 active sectors in agriculture achieved their highest annual exports ever.
Accordingly, last year the export of fruit and vegetable products amounted to 2.7 billion dollars, and dried fruit and related products were exported with a value of more than 1.85 billion dollars.
Looking at the countries to which the record-breaking sectors exported the most, America and Germany stood out. About 247.3 million dollars have been exported to Germany in the dry fruits and vegetables sector, and 429.4 million dollars worth of fruit and vegetable products have been exported to the United States.
