Iraqi Prime Minister: We have good relations with Iran and the US and this is an advantage
reports Mehr News Agency quoted Iraqi Prime Minister as saying: “We have a good relationship with Iran and have a good relationship with the US and this is an advantage.” We also have special relations with Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia.
“We have no external pressure or dictation,” said Mohammad Shia al-Sudani in a television program. The next meeting of the Arab leaders in Baghdad is an important event held at the same time as the region’s difficult conditions.
In another part of his remarks, Iraq is eager to maintain the rights of consumers and producers, along with OPEC Plus. Iraq has an attractive environment for investment. We have begun the process of energy transplantation with neighboring countries, especially Jordan. We have contracted with Saudi Arabia about the electricity connection project.
Al-Sudani noted: By year 2, we will end the import of gas from Iran. Demand for electricity in Iraq is more than production.
The Iraqi Prime Minister also said: “We have reached an agreement with the United States on a timetable to end the international coalition mission by year 5.
