According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, “Noor Ahmad Islamjar, the governor of Herat, met with Seyed Hossein Mirshafi, the adviser of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran on the affairs of Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation. According to the announcement published by the governor’s press office Herat, Mir Shafi said in this meeting that Iranian businessmen and investors are interested in investing in mines, street reconstruction and commercial works in Afghanistan, especially in Herat.
He pointed to Construction of the Herat-Khaf railway project, he added, the process of completing this project is underway.
The governor of Herat also expressed hope by stating that Iran’s business relations and communications with Herat are good. These relations should be developed.
Islamjar also considered Iran’s cooperation in the construction of large projects in Afghanistan as a good move and emphasized that the implementation of such projects plays an important role in improving the fraternal relations between the two countries.
Rah Herat-Khaf railway has four sections, three of which have been completed so far, and the fourth section will be built in the future.
According to experts, this rail route It is from the east-west international corridor that connects China to Turkey and Europe through Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Iran. This route will play an important role in reducing transit costs and sending Chinese goods to Europe in the future.
