French Foreign Minister: Iran’s nuclear program has no military solution
French Foreign Minister Rejects Any Military Plan Regarding Iran’s Nuclear Program
According to the English section of “webangah News Agency” citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera Qatar, Jean-Noël Barrot, France’s Foreign Minister, emphasized that there is no military solution to Iran’s nuclear crisis.
Without referencing the U.S.’s bad faith during Trump’s first term or its failure to adhere to its JCPOA commitments regarding Iran,Barrot claimed that Iran is attempting to acquire nuclear weapons and has violated all its uranium enrichment obligations.
Barrot stated: “We support America’s efforts concerning Iran’s nuclear crisis and hope these efforts yield results.”
The French Foreign Minister warned: “If Europe’s security interests are not met, all sanctions lifted against Iran over the past decade will be reinstated.”
He added: “Reimposing sanctions will block Iran’s access to European technology, investment, and markets—a situation we do not desire.”
In another part of his remarks, Barrot referenced Russia, asserting that Moscow is turning a blind eye to Pyongyang’s nuclear program in exchange for North Korea’s support in the Ukraine war.
