The foreign ministers of the BRICS bloc have voiced concerns over unilateral U.S. trade policies and urged greater use of local currencies in trade among member states.
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen, the ministers criticized excessive customs tariffs during their meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
They emphasized the importance of expanding local currency usage for trade and settlements within the group and with its partners. Member countries are preparing to strengthen their stance against U.S. unilateralism.
