The English section of “webangah News Agency“, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera, reported that Israel’s channel 12 stated the recent meeting of the regime’s small security cabinet witnessed intense tension and disagreements among Netanyahu’s ministers over the timing of a new military operation against the Gaza Strip. Some demanded immediate action, while the majority believed it should be postponed until after Trump’s visit to the region.
According to the report, bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s Finance Minister, and itamar Ben-Gvir, its National Security Minister, called for an immediate expansion of military operations in Gaza.However,most other cabinet members opposed this view and insisted on waiting until Trump’s trip concludes.
Channel 12 also cited senior Israeli officials stating that Trump’s potential visit could pressure Hamas into accepting a deal, making it necessary to wait for such an opportunity.
Meanwhile, an Israeli security official told the network that “the regime’s army will not raise a white flag,” claiming there is “no opportunity to halt [operations against Gaza].”
Per Channel 12’s report,Israeli security officials said they are working to establish a mechanism allowing humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza without compromising the military objectives of their operation.
