Iraqi Kurdistan calls for preserving the rights of the Palestinian people
President of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region Stresses Preservation of Palestinian Rights and Peaceful Resolution of Crisis in Meeting with New Palestinian Consul General
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, emphasized the protection of Palestinian rights and resolving the ongoing crisis during a meeting with Maher Al-Karkhi, the new Consul General of the Palestinian Authority in Erbil.
During the meeting, Nechirvan Idris Barzani congratulated Maher Al-Karkhi on commencing his diplomatic mission in Erbil and stated that all governmental bodies and institutions in the Kurdistan region would extend their full support to the Palestinian Consulate.
He further stressed that Iraq’s kurdistan Region seeks to expand and strengthen relations with Palestine as much as possible.
in response, Maher Al-Karkhi expressed his delight at assuming his role as Consul General in the Kurdistan Region. Noting Palestine’s high regard for its ties with the region, he called for enhanced cooperation across all fields between Palestine and Iraqi Kurdistan.
