Mehr News Agency, International Desk: The exhibition of selected works from the Andrei Stenin Photo Contest opened on Monday, May 12, at the Honar Cultural Center and will continue for one week. Organized in collaboration with Mehr Media Group, this exhibition showcases a collection of award-winning photographs by young photographers from across the globe, offering fresh and creative perspectives on both hidden and visible truths of the contemporary world.
What Does This Exhibition Represent?
The exhibition features a selection of works by winners and finalists of the 2024 Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest, named after the Russian photojournalist killed while covering conflict zones. this prestigious event is Russia’s onyl competitive platform dedicated to discovering new talents in photojournalism, upholding professional standards, and shaping global benchmarks in documentary photography.
In its 10th edition, over 2,000 submissions from 36 countries were received. An international jury comprising renowned media experts and photographers selected 30 young photographers as finalists. This year’s winners hail from ten countries: bangladesh, britain, Spain, India, Italy, China, Myanmar, Russia Syria south Africa Iran has also seen its young photographers rank among top winners in previous editions
