Russia Announces Agreement on Largest Prisoner Swap with Ukraine

webangah News Agency reports that Vladimir Medinsky, head⁣ of the Russian delegation in Ukraine negotiations, stated after concluding talks in Istanbul that Russia has delivered ‍a ⁣draft settlement agreement to⁣ the Ukrainian side.

Medinsky described Russia’s proposed memorandum for resolving the Ukraine‍ conflict as ‌”comprehensive and well-structured.” Several practical issues were resolved during negotiations. Russia will unilaterally transfer the‍ bodies of 6,000 Ukrainian soldiers to Kyiv next week.

The Russian official added: “We’ve agreed on the largest prisoner exchange with⁤ Ukraine to date.” russia has ‌also proposed⁤ a 2-3 day ceasefire along specific frontline sections,⁢ which Kyiv is currently reviewing.
