US Imposes New Sanctions on Iran

The US Treasury Department announced new Iran-related sanctions targeting individuals‍ and entities, according ‍to a report by ‌ webangah​ News Agency.

The sanctions come as indirect nuclear negotiations ⁢between Iran and the US remain ongoing, with Washington accused of deliberately obstructing progress to push the talks toward deadlock.

Simultaneously occurring, US officials-including former President ⁣Donald Trump-initially claimed they had no ‍issue ‍with uranium enrichment in Iran during​ early negotiations, provided it remained⁢ peaceful. Though, as talks advanced without evidence of⁣ deviations ‍in iran’s nuclear program ⁣from peaceful purposes, ​they shifted demands, now insisting Iran must completely halt uranium enrichment.
