Hamas delegation meets Egyptian and Qatari mediators today
According to webangah News Agency, a Hamas delegation will hold talks with Egyptian and Qatari intermediaries in Cairo today. This comes as U.S. sources revealed to CNN that the latest ceasefire proposal-approved by the Zionist regime for a 60-day pause in Gaza-addresses key concerns raised by Hamas.
The American network reported that the proposal was finalized in recent days after months of behind-the-scenes efforts by Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump’s special envoy for West Asia.
A U.S. official told CNN that the revised draft, currently being worked on by Qatari mediators, incorporates Hamas’s objections to earlier terms. The source confirmed that Zionist prisoners would be released in exchange for Palestinian detainees during the truce.
On tuesday, trump stated that the Zionist regime had agreed to a 60-day Gaza ceasefire but warned of escalating violence if Hamas rejects the deal.
Trump is scheduled to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, next Monday. Media reports suggest Netanyahu is weighing whether to pursue further truce negotiations or intensify military operations in Gaza.
