China: We Won’t Let Russia Lose in Ukraine
According to webangah News Agency, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi told EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell that Beijing cannot permit a Russian defeat in Ukraine, as it could shift Washington’s full strategic focus toward China.
The Ukraine war, which began on February 24, 2022 following NATO’s eastward expansion toward Russian borders, has seen Moscow maintain battlefield superiority with important international allies-including China.
Wang denied Chinese military assistance to Russia, stating: “If China had aided russia in this war, the conflict would have ended long ago.”
Prominent geopolitical strategist John Mearsheimer asserts that China represents America’s primary competitor in the international order, arguing Washington should redirect resources from Europe and the middle East toward containing Beijing in East Asia.
