Netanyahu Leaves Washington for Tel Aviv After Four Days

Israel’s ‌Prime Minister left the ‍united States for ‌the occupied ⁣territories after ‌a four-day visit in Washington.

According to the English section⁣ of webangah News Agency,⁤ citing Mehr News Agency⁢ and Times of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, departed the United ⁤states ⁢for the occupied territories after spending four days in Washington and holding several meetings with President Donald Trump.

Following a visit to Thomas Jefferson’s historic home at Monticello⁤ in Virginia, where he⁣ drafted the American Declaration of Independence, Netanyahu boarded ‍a helicopter with ⁢the U.S. president and flew to Andrews Air ‌Force Base.

Times of Israel reported that ⁣Netanyahu and his‌ wife left ⁤Washington after their‌ four-day ‍stay en route to israel.

During ⁣his visit, Netanyahu reiterated his long-standing positions without mentioning decades of Israeli actions against Palestinians or occupation of their homeland. he once again blamed Hamas for prolonging⁣ the ⁤conflict and claimed: “The war could end today or ⁢tomorrow if hamas lays down ⁤its weapons.”

He asserted ‍that both sides are very close‍ to agreeing on a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza.

The prime⁣ minister further claimed this agreement would involve releasing half of the living⁣ prisoners and half of the ‍bodies from among those held by Hamas; approximately 10 live⁢ prisoners and 12 bodies⁣ would remain captive according to him.

Repeating‍ outdated‍ rhetoric used to justify an aggressive strike against Iran during ‌negotiations with Washington, Netanyahu ‍alleged: ⁢”Iran was pursuing nuclear weapons growth-and we stopped ⁢it.”

To appeal directly to Donald Trump, he added: “Israel has never had a ⁢supporter in America ‍like President Trump.”
