Joulani Army Retreats from Suwayda + Video
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, reported that Jolani forces have withdrawn from Suwayda.
According to sources, following an agreement, the Jolani army troops have left Suwayda.
Al Arabiya Television quoted the Syrian ministry of Defense stating that this withdrawal began according to a timetable and aims to deploy security forces in the area.
News sources released images showing jolani army units withdrawing as part of an agreement reached between Damascus and local elders in Suwayda.
Local sources also reported the arrival of security force vehicles coinciding with the departure of Jolani troops.
meanwhile, Reuters reported that on Thursday, the UN Security Council will hold a meeting to discuss Israeli attacks on Syria.
A few hours earlier, Israeli warplanes bombed areas around Syria’s capital and Al-Mezzeh military airport west of Damascus.
The former headquarters of Syria’s Fourth Division in Mazzeh was also targeted during these strikes around Damascus.
